Located in the north-east of the city centre. The Radio Cite Bastille was opened in the 1930’s, and originally operated as a newsreel cinema. In 1961 it was re-named Cinema La Bastille and it soon went over to screening adult porn films.
With the construction and opening of the nearby Bastille Opera House in 1984, the area began to improve, and the Cinema La Bastille was converted into a 3-screen cinema seating 250, 135 and 90. It began screening art-house films
It operates today as the Cine Metro Art Bastille, screening art-house films in their original language versions.
